*I’ve tried studying in my room, failed attempt; reason: bad roommate.
*”””Dorm common room; is full of smokers and loud rock music
*”””’University library; lack of attentive librarians which leads to noise and chaos overall and I only end up studying for 2 hours ![]()
Any ideas??
P.S. the public library in my region is currently being reconstructed to due to changes in the blueprints and whatnot.
Thanks in advance =)
In spring, summer, or fall you could always find a secluded corner of campus and study outside, but in winter you could study in a friend’s dorm if they let you or you could ask one of your professors if they know of another spot you could study. Sorry, but options are kind of limited when its cold out
What are the best places to study besides the dorm common room and university library?

At some colleges you can find unlocked classrooms, unassigned dorm rooms, etc. If your college is big enough, there might be more than one library, or hidden corners of the library. Try the law school library if your college has a law school. It will be very quiet. Take a walk around the campus and look for a quiet place. All you need is a chair and light. You might even find a basement corridor and sit on the floor,
Good luck.

Places I have used successfully:
Restaurants open late at night with free refills on coffee or decaf.
Laundromats open all night.
The specialty libraries on campus – particularly those used by the graduate students.
Lounge in the Union building.
Empty classroom.
