In college/university, is the library always open?

Like, can you go to the library at night or does it close at a certain time?

Many college libraries close at night – they’ll have the hours posted online.

    Depends on the school.

    At the school I attend, most of the specialized libraries for individual departments and schools (Engineering, Architecture, Fine Arts etc) close for the night.

    The larger, general-purpose libraries remain open 24 hours.

    Most of the libraries close at night, but they usually stay open much later than, say, your local public library. The ones at my son’s campus stay open until 11 pm. Also, during exam times, the libraries will be open 24 hours. :-)

    most of the libraries closed by 10 pm. maybe later in finals week.
