No they do not. Depending on how the network is set up, they will all have either individual IP addresses assigned from the ISP, or will have individual IP addresses assigned by a router which would have the IP address assigned by the ISP.
Bottom line, no they do not, and can not.

no.. not on the LAN side. That would cause an IP conflict. They can, however, be on a private network with the same WAN address.

yes but they also have their own unique identity number, if they didn’t they would be open to abuse and the university would lose it’s IP status.

It depends on if your talking internally or externally.To the rest of the world, yes they all connect to one central router and that communicates to the rest of the world, hence having one IP address. However, to eachother they have different ones. That’s the internal network, and how the router identifies each computer so it know where to send the information it downloads to.

I found this out after someone was constantly posting abuse on a forum and i got the blame cos it was the same i.p. addy.
That’s when i told them i used a library and not to blame me!
