Am I legally allowed to call the police when a homeless man is looking at porn at the university Library?
I mean It kinda makes me mad that I am paying thousands of dollars a semester to use the university Library and I can’t find a computer to do my work and there is a smelly homeless guy looking at porn on a computer and I have to stand and wait for a computer.
Just tell the librarian. I thought those sites were blocked. When I attended community college those sites were blocked, needed a password to get on some sites if for a research paper and then had to provide proof from your instructor.*

Usually, yes. Most libraries have policies where viewing of pornographic material is not allowed. But go to the Librarian first, let’s not jump directly to calling the police yet.

I don’t think that’s something the police would like to spend their time with rather you could just walk over to some librarian and let them know what it is going

Wait you’re in college and are offended by porn? Time to mature.

You could but there is no need for the police to get involved and why would you want to tell on a homeless person that has lost almost everything

Unless the homeless man is somehow allowed on campus, university police may remove him from the premises. Like others said, you should first tell the librarian. The librarian will ask the man to leave. If he still refuses to leave, then the police will be called.
@firewoman: It is easy to get around blocks. People do it all the time at my school. Even people who know nothing about computers. It’s really, really easy.

the librarian can advise him that this is not allowed, can or call the police who (in some jurisdictions) issue a warning the person that he will be subject to arrest for tresspassing if he returns

You must be a baby. Stop whining, and get over it. Find another computer, duh.
Is that really hard to do?
