Some pervert keeps looking at porn sites at the public library?

I don’t have internet access at home so I go to the public library to use the Internet. Almost everytime I log in some weird looking guy is always looking at porn sites and when I told the librarian she said there is nothing she can do?

Why is the librarian letting this perv look at porn???

Librarians are staunch keepers of our First Amendment right of Freedom of Speech, which includes the right to read or look at porn as long as the viewer is of legal age and the media in question is legal in your state.

if the librarian is not doing anything you should call city or head library and tell them about the "pervert" when he comes and also complain about the librarian to them. you can google search for the numbers needed

Probably town policy prevents her from doing anything. Or maybe the library isn’t technically savvy enough to realize they could put a stop to it. Or maybe they just don’t care and are blowing you off?

They probably should care tho’… That’s a great way to get viruses on the computer.

They may have a legal requirement not to block internet access.

Have you mentioned to her that there are CHILDREN at the library who may pass by this perv’s computer and see the porn too??

Mentioning children may get her to take action, if not, definitely contact her superior’s… I wouldn’t want my kids to be at the library and come home telling me they saw ******* (YOU KNOW) at a public place.

If a man/woman can’t get naked in PUBLIC, then nudity shouldn’t be allowed in the library… including through the internet.

    Just my humble opinion

What you consider porn, may not be porn technically. If the computer screen can be seen by others who are walking by, then the librarian is required to ask the person to move to a more hidden computer. If the librarian doesn’t move the person, ask to speak to her supervisor. Work your way up the chain of command. If it’s a county library, phone a commissioner.

I lived in Alabama and now live in Florida and the libraries are very strict on porn. Plus the computers are within easy view so that the staff can see what your looking at without breathing down your neck. But I wondering if the guy was very good looking would you object to him watching the smut on the library computer, as long as both hands are on the keyboard or one the keyboard and one the mouse then don’t complain.
