Looking for public library ebooks – not classic like world library – more like new york library?

I’m trying to find a more reasonable public library for ebooks. New York library has ebooks I like but I live in Alabama and the cost would be 100.00 per year for a card – know any other web sites?

Hello ,
The Gutenberg Project has a number of E-Books ;

    Just google libraries near you and see if they offer ebooks. It will be much less expensive to get a card at a local/in state library.
