i want to start reading the satanic bible. i don’t want to become a satanist i just wanna study the religion. i’m 14 years old. but i’m much more mature for my age so don’t bother saying i’m too young. i’m gonna read it with or without your help anyways. so anyways will i be able to get the book at a public library or will i hafta order it from a book store or something? thanks for your help.

It’s a very easily available book. If your library doesn’t have it, ask about the Interlibrary Loan program. Most libraries have Interlibrary Loan now. But as cheap and widespread as it is, why not just buy a new or used copy online?

It wasn’t in my public library but you can find it online.
But really the page on wikipedia sums it up pretty much over all imo.

Beware, the only thing you will accomplish is opening the door for the devil to be able to "legally" oppress you. The Bible is your "human" owners manuel. Study The Bible, and you will see what I mean. If you want to study the other afterwords, then you will have "protection" from deception.

Most public libraries probably wouldn’t carry it, but if you’re really interested in it, try looking at Hastings, or Barnes and Nobles. I know it sounds weird, but I’m certain they carry it, or would be able to order it in for you. Don’t let anyone tell you that you’ll go to hell or something for reading this book, it is just a book. Research and study, to open your mind to understand people and beliefs better should never be looked down on.

Despite what the few christian nuts who answered you have to say there are plenty of people myself included who are not Satanist but have the book simply because its a fairly interesting read.
Of course if any of these dips knew anything, people who followed Levay or are members of the his church would know they don’t actually worship Satan. They just believe in living life for themselves first everyone and everything else last.

About 500 libraries worldwide own Anton LeVey’s Satanic Bible – most of them are in larger cities. The copy I see cataloged is a paperback published in 1969 so there is an extreme possibility that any library copy has been trashed by age and use.
You might be able to borrow it through interlibrary loan and you might not if everyone’s copy is trashed or missing.

To help decide if he was a crook or actually believed this stuff you should visit a few of the links at the bottom.
Personal opinion, there are a lot more crooks making big names for themselves writing books on religion than simple believers hoping to help you out. I’d say Levey was a crook. Follow the money.
