They're PUBLIC COMPUTERS. They need to be maintained in a specific state to allow fair and equitable access to all patrons of the library. Besides, do you really want to install Yahoo Instant Messenger with YOUR settings on a public computer, allowing anyone, including your worst enemies, to log in as YOU?
