If you have a portable hard drive copy your ‘My Documents’ folder onto it and replace the ‘My Documents’ on the new computer with it. All songs, videos, photos etc will carry across.

I use this to back up my itunes and was invaluable when recently had to set up my computer from scratch after a terminal error.

Under your music folder there will be a folder called itunes.
You need to send this folder to a piece of portable media, like a memory stick depending on its size or do one folder within the itunes folder at a time.
then move it to your laptop, send to ur music folder.
start itunes up and go file, add folder, select it and your sorted

hope that helps, i think its right, its my first answer to a question so i hope its ok.

i think you should come to a three party application which i prefer iTunes to iTunes Transfer ,which is a simple way to keep your iTunes in sync everywhere. You can use it to backup your own iTunes library or synchronize multiple iTunes on different computers. The backed up library file is pretty easy to transfer to other iTunes, and it’s easy to manage.for your convenience here is the link:http://www.aniosoft.com
