What happens if you lose 2 library books?
Do you pay an outrageous fine? And if you find them later, will they reimburse you?

you need to go and tell them now. it’ll cost less. it just depends on the library policy.

Pay for the books before you start to rack up a huge fine. If you find them later, you can ask for a refund, or just return them.

In my experience with a university library, I had to pay the fines, and they would not reimburse me, so I kept the books. I learned the hard way!
