moving to another country with unreturned library books?

i took some library books with me from the US to Canada. If I never return them what will happen to me? Should I never go back to the US again?

nothing is going to happen to you, tell your parents and ask them if they can return the books back to the library..

It will go on your credit report as an unpaid loan. If the value of the books is high enough, the library’s collection agency may come after you. And yes, your credit report will follow you to Canada.

er…i think they will be reported as lost and if you ever come back you have to pay a fee…..
it isn’t illegal though you can just say that you just forgot about them.
i mean, are you joking or ?

Yeah, the library police will stop you at the border.

George Bush will place you on a terrorist list and have you tracked down by the Delta Force, and you will be brought back in chains!

Why not just mail them back to the library? Explain that you no longer live in the USA, and you do not want to pay any library fines. I am sure they will gladly excuse you for going to all of the expense of returning the books!
