How can I add two separate music libraries in iTunes?

My wife has a music library on our old desktop, and mine is on my old laptop. We bought a new laptop, and want to both add our music libraries, but keep them separate. If I create two user accounts for the computer, can I add her library to one and mine to the other?
And can I move the desktop library using an external HD?

To create or use a different iTunes library:
If iTunes is open, quit it.

Hold down the Shift key while you open iTunes (from the Start menu, choose All Programs > iTunes > iTunes).

In the dialog that appears, do one of the following:

To create a new library, click Create Library.

To choose a different library, click Choose Library.

Go to Help>Index>Library to learn more
