Are there any good private libraries in or around Philadelphia?

Please help, our public libraries aren’t very good.

All of the universities in the city have private libraries. The library at the University of Pennsylvania is excellent, as is the one at Temple. You could try those.

    I think Philadelphia was the first city to have a library. Philadelphia has much better libraries than other cities I’ve lived in. Plus, there are so many universities that have libraries and they may do interlibrary loan.
