I dont mind if its a freeware or shareware, 10 at a time or something like that, but I need something that I can extract my music from my ipod at the library, and I can only install some softwares, I cant find one that dosnt require admin rights, any ideas?

I have over 300 DVDs at home that I want to have digital access to. Something like iTunes but for my movies. Anyone know of a software or website that helps with this/ recognizing the movies you put into your computer’s DVD?

It can recognize the DVD you put in the drive but I found it faster and easier to just punch in the UPC number instead of opening the case, putting the DVD in the drive, waiting for it to recognize, eject the DVD, put it back in the case, open the next case…

I’m looking for some software that i can sort all my songs and films into by album/film cover and has an attractive interface. I would also like it to be able to play all my media. Windows media player is ok but i want to be able to scroll through my stuff like you can on itunes on the iphone or windows media center. I don’t mind if i have to pay for the software. Any recommendations?

Please help me. I have a FLY Fusion pen, and I want to get the songs from my iTunes 8 library onto my pen, but my pen only accepts MP3 files. I looked at the ways with the previous versions, but I can’t do it that way anymore.

In order to convert the songs to MP3 format, you have to download a extra software to do so.
Here’s one that I use and is safe:

Click on the blue ‘Download Now’ button then download and install the program on your computer. Import any desired songs to the program and convert it. Open the folder where ever it converted it and use the program for your MP3 player. Add the converted MP3 files and you’re done!

If it’s songs downloaded from the iTunes store, simply burn any desired songs onto a CD and it shall remove the MP3 protection. Again, send the songs to your MP3 player and you’re finished!

Yes. Depends on the library. If you live in a small town, it’s unlikely that your library has an online catalog. But if it’s a big city library, it very likely is online. Most city libraries are online now. And I’m sure nearly all college and university libraries are. You don’t need any extra software, just use your browser. My local city library and nearby university library are both online. Works fine.

This really is a question for your library. Call them. In order to reserve books or look at the books you have, you’ll have to have an account there, but this usually involves nothing more than your library card number as your username. You may be able to browse the catalog without an account, but what’s the point if you can’t check out the book?

I would like to set up a library system that allows check out, check in, searching, and maintenance of a small to medium size collection of books at a school. Hopefully the system could be distributed (e.g. Web accessible) so that kids from any classroom with a computer could search the library.
I agree, Delicious Monster would be an excellent program to use. However, we need to work in a Windows environment. Is there a program like Delicious Monster’s Library for Windows?

If you are working on a Mac, Delcicious Monster is a nice piece of software.

For the rest of my life? I know itunes converts the files from, say wma’s to aac’s….all my music is in that library (the itunes) because i consolidated–what if I want to buy a Zune or Creative Zen? Will I still be able to play the songs?

Yes, if you go into your itunes music folder and copy everything to "My Music" it will then be directly uploaded into Windows Media Player which can sync to a Zune or Creative Zen.
