The library on my computer is not the same as the one on my iPod.

I have ripped all my exercise DVD’s to my computer and have it hooked up to my 50" hi def TV. What’s the snazziest video player/library organizer software out there? I’d love any opinions, even if it’s the standard Windows Media Player or iTunes. When I go to choose my workout for the day, I want it to be fun, let me see the details/large cover of each video (maybe even preview the video) and generally be impressive looking. I’d prefer something that will download the DVD information/album cover from the internet, launch the video, maybe allow me to add a few details or pictures, but just be as visually fun and pleasing as possible while still being intuitive and functional. Is that too much to ask? Think Disneyland or Pixar on Steroids with professional graphics, not Windows 3.1 with a bunch of catalog text boxes of useless columns and recycled ugly generic icons in bad colors. Thanks!

XBMC. Hands down. It’s completely free and open source and works on mac, windows and linux. Once you set it up to scan the movies folder, it will catalog them and download info from IMDB.com (the largest movie info site on the internet). It downloads promo shots, DVD covers, plot summaries, actors, genres, etc.

However, your workout movies might not be cataogged on IMDB, so many of those features might not work. You can still load your own DVD covers and pictures though.

If you do use it, make sure you use the mediastream skin. I like it better.

Front endmay be VB or ASP.net and back end may be MS Access or SQL..

i have an ipod touch and i bought the 3.0 software but i cant download it because my computers internet is to slow and it wont let me download the new software. The only thing i can think of is to download it at the library but i dont know how to get itunes on those computers. i am also looking for a way to get it easier but i dont really know any others,

You don’t need iTunes on the library computer. Connect your iPod Touch to their wireless network.

I’m just looking for something to replace Windows Media Player’s Library. The reason is that it has just wiped the names from half of my songs, doubled up albums and changed them to different albums. And yes, I did use the ‘update album info’ option which worked fine for a while but now it’s busted.

EDIT: Yeah you can just import your songs/cd’s for free.

Find the folder zune uses, in settings. And drag and drop them into itunes.

Okay someone anserwed my other question about my itunes but I have another what software do I have to download in order to sync all of my music from my ipod to my itunes library because my library got delted a few months ago and I just deleted itunes off of my computer all together because when I would go and charge my ipod it would automatically sync and make changes and I didnt want that to happen so like yeah what software could I use for my ipod to sync into itunes library please and thank you

My iTunes library is saved on another computer. Is it possible, with teh help of a certain software program to get that same library onto mine?

You Will have to use an external hard drive….they aren’t too much money…depends on how many gigs you get….when you get it plug it in to your computer and drag and drop all your songs in your library into it…then go to the other computer, plug it in and drag and drop in into the library….worked for me

i just got a sony reader for xmas and i have a 50 card to buy books but i go to download the stupid library software and it wont go throught idk!!I gotta brand spankin new laptop so its not that!!any suggestions!! plzz and thankyeww

i had the same problem today. my computer runs slower when its been on for awhile so i restarted it and it downloaded on the first try.

I’m looking to create a subscription based service that will allow subscribers to pay $XX a month to have access to certain audio and video files via streaming. Is there an "out of the box" software that will do this? Any ideas? Thanks.
I’m not just looking for a subscription service only… I was thinking it would be a software because it would need a nice interface. Maybe something similar to an "iTunes" look, as far as organization, presentation and search-ability. Hope that clarifies a bit more.

You can do that on paypal. you do not need a software for it.
