Where can I find a complete list of all the singer sewing reference library books?

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

Or can someone tell me what the name of all of them are. I know some of them but I would like to get them all. Thanks for your help.

Here http://www.singerco.com/accessories/books.html are the ones still available from Singer.

Alibris http://www.alibris.com/search/books/author/Singer%20Sewing%20Reference%20Library has three pages of books referenced and available to purchase.

Barnes & Noble http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/results.asp?ath=Singer+Sewing+Reference+Library has a bunch of books available.

Do these three lists give you every book to be a part of the Singer sewing reference library? I can’t guarantee it, but it’s a start. I hope it helps.

Just as an aside: I thought you might find this site http://vintagesewing.info/ interesting.

Are there any good (free) peices of software for making a music library?

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

I’m just looking for something to replace Windows Media Player’s Library. The reason is that it has just wiped the names from half of my songs, doubled up albums and changed them to different albums. And yes, I did use the ‘update album info’ option which worked fine for a while but now it’s busted.

Sorry for the mini rant but thankyou to anyone who answers.

How to download my ipod library from an iphone to my itunes library?

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

My mom wiped my itunes library and i need to download all my music back on to itunes, but I dont know how. HELP!
its not transferring because its not only my purchases my entire library.

You can use an iphone to computer transfer program to help.I personally use Cucusoft iPhone/iTouch/iPod to Computer Transfer. It helps me to transfer my songs/videos/photos from iphone to my computer directly and safely. It works well for me,you can give it a try.
Free download it at: http://dvd-video-soft.com/ipodconverter/ipod-itouch-iphone-transfer.html

It even has step-by-step guide on the whole process.
Hope it helps.

I need a JSTOR article, and it’s only available from a university library. Is there a way I can read it?

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

The article is called "Invisible Points in a House of Mirrors". My e-mail is photografr7@yahoo.com if you can think of a way.

You can access this in person at a university library and email a pdf to yourself. Just check to be sure they subscribe to the journal first.

Would they have the movie The Shining at a public library?

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

I want to watch it!! :] The old one from 1980. Do you think a public library would have it?

It’s very possible . Your state library system should have a website where you can search for whatever you want. If the one closest to you doesen’t have it, but another one does, in most cases you can put it on hold and have it sent to your library.

How can people be so stupid, that they think homeless people can’t go to public libraries & use computers?

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

Isn’t it so amazing that some people are either so stupid as to ask’ If you’re homeless, how are you using a computer’ or ‘If you’re homeless, how can you afford a computer’ or are they " Blondes"? Not all homeless people are ignorant, or un-employed; if the cost of living in their city is too high, how do they afford housing, all you experts on"Homelessness"?

Yes, it is to the vain and superioristic and unenlightened to learn of homeless people’s skills as it is to see a baby walk for the first time…amazing, to those kinds.

Establishing a Library and Art Gallery?

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

What and how do i go about establishing a Reference Library to the level of recognition by Institutions of higher learning in the country?

why would you want to? Is there a lack of libraries? Join an existing one and be instrumental in improving and enriching it. Choose an university library if you are interested in one.
